Project Overview
Sycamore International is a West Grove, Pennsylvania-based IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) company that has been helping organizations responsibly recycle technology since 2010. Operating from a solar-powered facility with an innovative microgrid energy storage system, they process approximately 40,000 devices monthly while maintaining NAID-AAA and R2v3 certifications. Their focus on secure data destruction, value recovery, and zero-waste recycling has made them a trusted partner for enterprises, schools, and healthcare organizations throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
This marks my second website design for Sycamore since I began working with them in 2021. The primary objective for this redesign was to accommodate their expansion into solar panel recycling while better serving three distinct client segments: Enterprise, Education, and Healthcare.
I approached this as a complete rebuild, developing all new SEO-optimized content from the ground up. Each page was carefully crafted to speak directly to the unique needs and compliance requirements of their target audiences, whether that meant emphasizing HIPAA compliance for healthcare clients or highlighting budget expansion opportunities for educational institutions.
A standout feature of the new site is the custom e-waste calculator I programmed. Visitors can input the number of devices they need to recycle (laptops, tablets, desktops, LCD displays, servers, and printers) and receive an immediate environmental impact assessment. The calculator translates their recycling efforts into tangible metrics: pounds of CO2 emissions prevented, pounds of waste diverted from landfills, coal consumption avoided, and the equivalent number of trees planted. This tool not only educates potential clients about their environmental footprint but also demonstrates the measurable impact of partnering with Sycamore.
