James Equities is a minority-owned real estate development firm specializing in transitional, permanent supportive, and affordable housing for formerly homeless and low-income New Yorkers. The firm leverages strategic partnerships with nonprofit service providers, lenders, and tax credit syndicators to develop emergency, transitional, and permanent housing solutions at scale across New York City.
Founded by Douglas James, who brings extensive experience as former Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for the Center for Urban Community Services (New York City’s leading provider of services to homeless New Yorkers), the firm combines deep expertise in housing development with a mission-driven approach to addressing housing insecurity.
This website project aimed to establish James Equities’ digital presence with a professional, mission-focused platform that would effectively communicate the firm’s unique value proposition to potential partners, investors, and stakeholders.
The site needed to convey both the social impact of their work and the financial sophistication of their development approach, balancing compelling storytelling with credible business credentials while showcasing their track record of complex, high-value projects across the NYC metro area.
